Charisse Gilbreath is a highly sought after consultant who brings her professional expertise and personal experience to every client she serves.  Charisse earned her Masters’ degree from Norfolk State University, her Bachelors’ degree from Mercy College, and continued her professional education by attaining a Certification for Aging in Place from the National Association of Home Builders.

With 17 years of working with individuals and families, Charisse currently serves as a Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) and a Compliance Consultant in the Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and surrounding cities.  Charisse utilized her areas of expertise from mental health, homelessness, substance abuse, HIV/AIDS, foster care, and adoption to develop a statewide training for Child-Placing Agency Providers in the State of Virginia, for Outreach Specialist, Psychologist, Social Workers, and MD at the Eastern Virginia Medical School AIDS Resource Center, and Social Workers at the Virginia Department of Social Services.

After a traumatic event changed the course of her life, the reality of advocacy, community, and agency connections were amplified in her personal quest to maintain her quality of life.  It was this journey that led her to establishing “Mission to Connect.” Charisse uses the many years of experience as a service provider to assist clients and agencies who otherwise would not have resources to accomplish tasks and comforts others take for granted while maintaining and improving their quality of life.

In her spare time Charisse enjoys traveling with her family and planning events that bring her loved ones together.
